EINSTEINIUM FOUNDATION — MONTHLY UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER 2021

To the Einsteinium community,

Below is an overview of our actions over the past month of September 2021. Our focus remains on the delivery of MIL, an evolved blockchain forked from EMC2. In addition, we balance our operations as both a cryptocurrency and a scientific philanthropic organisation. This month provided an opportunity to release the full MIL code to our open-source repository on Github. This public disclosure allows for any member of the community to build and interact with our active ecosystem of software. As we move forward, we also encourage all members of the community to follow our new social media page for MIL  @mileviumcoin.

Milevium (MIL) Development

The Einsteinium Foundation is proud to announce that we are in the final stages of releasing MIL.  A detailed description of MIL can be found in our Blue Paper. MIL represents a long-term and forward-looking project for the Foundation, and a defining project which solidifies the future of this organization. MIL represents an evolved blockchain, forked from EMC2, and our software development has focused on increasing technological improvements and functionality. This month provided an opportunity to release the full MIL code to our open-source repository on GitHub, available here https://github.com/emc2foundation/mil. This public disclosure allows for any member of the community to build and interact with our active ecosystem of software. Our reason for this is to keep with the ethos of cryptocurrency and build an open-source future. It is our expectation that we can scale our network and continue to build the ecosystem of software to support the delivery of this innovative project. This includes easy ways to interact and transact with MIL. And includes integration for our philanthropic donations towards scientific research.

In addition, we will be releasing monthly updates and periodic developer notes as we progress. Finally, we will release an updated roadmap on our website describing our plans and next steps. Stayed tuned for an announcement about the roadmap. We are thankful for our community and all it offers. This remains a very exciting time for Einsteinium!

Expanding our listings on exchanges

We are proud to share the news of a new EMC2/ETH pair on the global exchange Bittrex. Further, we continue to look for new ways to increase the awareness for The Einsteinium Foundation and functionality of Einsteinium, our current product. Einsteinium, the coin, is available to trade on several top exchanges such as Bittrex, CoinSpot and AtomicDex. We are excited by and fully support the recent community-driven activity to reach out to exchanges on our behalf. As a strong driving signal on the Foundation side and in order to reach a wider audience in the cryptocurrency community we are planning for additional exchange listings this year.

We are looking to add to the team

Einsteinium Foundation is looking to add to our team. In specific, we are currently looking for a Blockchain Developer to work on our new cryptocurrency core that utilizes the Ethash mining algorithm. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development experience with Bitcoin or any other Bitcoin-like cryptocurrency core project. This current position is not recruiting for smart contracts developers. Additional details regarding the position are available here. This current position is not recruiting for smart contracts developers.

We also encourage anyone interested in any other role within the Foundation to reach out to us. As we anticipate expanding on our team, the Einsteinium Foundation is looking for a number of roles to contribute towards the success and adoption of Einsteinium. For more information about this, reach out to us via the contact form on our main page (https://www.emc2.foundation/contact) to express your interest.

EMC2 Fellowships

In 2018, the Einsteinium Foundation, a non-profit organization (NPO) and the world's first NPO to be backed by cryptocurrency, established our annual award program. We did this in order to offer grant money to directly support scientific research.

We continue to balance our operations as a cryptocurrency and philanthropic organization. Therefore, on the anniversary of Einstein’s birthday, we announced that the Einsteinium Foundation will support the Einsteinium Fellowships, with details of this initiative described in our recent blog post. This marks a very special occasion for the Einsteinium Foundation as our organization's founding was inspired by Albert Einstein. For this program, there are no restrictions on the type of projects that are eligible but they must be scientific in nature and well-thought out. Additionally, eligible projects must follow a general ethos to push human knowledge forward, and strive to build us a better, safer and more stable future. In this regard, the fellowships support researchers across career stages including graduate, postgraduate, or professorships by offering funds to be utilized for the advancement of a scientific project. This year, we will be offering the Einsteinium Fellowships in the form of 10 fellowships to be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year. Each fellow will be awarded 10,000 EMC2 in unrestricted funds. We encourage you to spread awareness of this initiative and if interested, to direct your application here.

Einsteinium Foundation -- Monthly update (July 2021)

To the Einsteinium community,

Current updates on the release of MIL

In keeping with our previous announcements regarding MIL, we continue to build out the ecosystem of software. This includes technical innovations, and user-interface items to ensure an easy to access product. We will also be releasing a first-look at our MIL logo for the community. In addition, we undertook a blockchain reset after testing and are happy to announce now that the MIL MainNet is fully up and operational. We will be releasing more details for MIL through an updated roadmap and timeline in the near future. We are also in final preparations for the release of MIL source code and wallet builds. We are thankful for our community and all it offers. This is a very exciting time for Einsteinium!

A sneak peak of the MIL logo

Today, we’re releasing an updated brand identity for the MIL project. This includes a new logo, font, and the Einsteinium blue. You’ll see the new look anywhere we’re out in public, like our website, Facebook, Twitter, and all of our social channels dedicated to MIL. Very soon you’ll see it in all of our products supporting the MIL ecosystem including our official wallet. We believe that this new look better matches what we want the MIL project to be: an evolved chain, forked from EMC2. While EMC2 will continue to support promising scientific projects, MIL will focus on rewarding scientists who have already achieved important scientific goals.

EINSTEINIUM FOUNDATION UPDATE (JUNE 2021)

To members of the Einsteinium community,

This past month was a tumultuous period in the history of Einsteinium. Despite all of this, we continue to work and monitor events as they occur in a number of areas. We will keep the community informed as new information arises.

Our response to EMC2’s Upbit delisting

The Upbit exchange recently notified a number of projects that they will be delisted. Unfortunately, Einsteinium was part of this list despite our strong relationship with the Korean community and a long history with the Upbit exchange. All evidence points to this delisting to be a response to the South Korean government's increasing regulations rather than anything Einsteinium would be at fault for. We did all we could to communicate and stay in compliance with the exchanges demands. This includes detailed written responses and direct actions taken to alleviate Upbit’s concerns.

We encourage all of those impacted to register accounts on a number of exchanges that currently support Einsteinium. We will also be making efforts with new exchanges to offer EMC2 to a wider trading market. We will continue to update our community as this develops.

More details can be found on our recent post.

EMC2 Komodo upgrade, securing our blockchain

This month we took steps to strengthen and secure our blockchain. As per our previous blog post: https://www.emc2.foundation/emc2-blog/2021/6/11/emc2-wallet-upgrade-notice. We have updated our wallet for the Komodo (KMD) notary season 5. All builds are now immediately available on our website.

What happened?

We received notice of termination from Upbit here (업비트 - 가장 신뢰받는 디지털 자산 거래소 (upbit.com)). Which states that we failed to reply to the exchange. This is a lie.

We have published our detailed response to Upbit here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494708.msg57263557#msg57263557)

Our team has been in constant communication to resolve this matter with the exchange. But it looks like the decision was made for us.

Where do we go from here?

We will continue to deliver on our mission. We will find new exchanges that support us and our ecosystem of products. And we will continue to push for the release of our new coin MIL in order to drive our purpose home. This is a painful period of time for us but it is not how this story ends. EINSTEINIUM FOUNDATION UPDATE (May 2021)

To the Einsteinium community,

Roadmap to MIL

The Einsteinium Foundation is proud to announce that we are in the final stages of releasing MIL. A detailed description of MIL can be found in our Blue Paper. MIL represents a long-term and forward-looking project for the Foundation, and a defining project which solidifies the future of this organization.  As we prepare to enter the final stages for the release of MIL, we need to take several necessary actions. First, we will be restarting the MIL pool, which has been running in test-mode while we worked out the technical details of the new coin.  Next, we plan to release our MIL code and recent wallet builds to the community. Our reason for this is to keep with the ethos of cryptocurrency and an open-source future. Additionally, we will continue to build out the ecosystem of support systems and software for our new coin. This includes easy ways to interact and transact with MIL. And includes integration for our philanthropic donations towards scientific research. Details of the MIL release will be posted and updated regularly here, as they become available for distribution to the public. Finally, we will release an updated roadmap on the main website describing our plans and next steps. Stayed tuned for an announcement about the roadmap. We are thankful for our community and all it offers. This is a very exciting time for Einsteinium!
